Microsoft continues its stint of short burst of Skype 8 releases. A few days after the release of Skype 8.32, Skype 8.33 stable has been released with a few new features. While the dooms day for Skype Classic 7 is coming nearer, Microsoft is adding new features to version 8 to make it more attractive to the users.
The latest version of Skype is visually more appealing and functionally more feature packed than the classic version. It is always recommended to keep your software up to date. This may force you to a learning curve but using latest technologies will make you more productive and less vulnerable to Internet threats.
With the latest Skype 8.33, you can use the usual features like Skype calls, call recording, instant messaging and group chats. Although the newer version is being delivered as upgrade on the systems where Skype 8.32 is installed, Microsoft has not yet released the release notes. So no one knows for sure which features have been added to this software release.
If we compare the files from Skype 8.32 with Skype 8.33 files, we can safely say that no new major changes have been introduced in this release of Skype. Apart RtmCodes.dll which has a change size of 2 KB, all other files are less than a KB.
I will keep monitoring for the change log to be released from Microsoft and will update this article accordingly.
